The Ramada is located in the heart of St. Joseph, just a couple of miles from Missouri Western State University and about an hour north of Kansas City. The hotel offers basic rooms (with Queen or King bed options), as well as several two-bedroom suites and one Jacuzzi suite.
All rooms include a TV, a small work desk, and complimentary wireless high-speed Internet. Guests can also request rooms with a refrigerator and microwave. Water park passes are sold separately. The hotel also provides a fitness center and a steakhouse.
Monkey Cove is particularly convenient for families with small children since all of the water (with the exception of the hot tub) is three feet deep or less. The water park includes:

Of all the KC area water park hotels, The Great Wolf Lodge offers the largest water park and more suite options. The lodge also provides a nice location close to downtown Kansas City. CoCo Key, located in the heart of Kansas City, MO also provides a great location. The water park may be slightly smaller, but it is equally fun (and tends to be cheaper). Monkey Cove has the benefit of a quieter location (outside the city) and a reasonable price. Each hotel boasts unique benefits, from location to price, but they all include swim park features for everyone in the family.
